Affiliate disclosure
MoreThanMy earns commission from some of the links on this site. If you follow one of those links and buy something, the retailer pays us a share of the sale. It costs you nothing extra, and the price you pay is the same either way.
What that does and does not change
It does not decide what we recommend. We are paid when you buy, not when you buy a particular thing, and a review that steers you toward gear that fails in February is worth less to us than one you come back to.
It does mean you should know which links pay us, which is why every page carrying them says so at the top rather than in a footnote.
How we say what a review is based on
Every product assessment on this site declares what it rests on, and the three are not the same thing:
- Owned and used — we bought it or run it, over a real stretch of time, and the photographs are ours.
- Hands-on — we have used it, but briefly, and the review says exactly what we did and did not test.
- Researched — we have not tested it. The assessment comes from specifications, manuals, warranty terms and reported owner experience, and the page says so before you read a word of it.
We will not write a first-person account of using something we have not used. That is a fabricated endorsement whether or not a disclosure sits above it.
Prices and availability
Prices change and we do not track them. Anything we quote was accurate when written and may not be now — the retailer's page is the authority.
